The picture above is of False Bay on San Juan Island. And from the picture you could probably take a guess as why it has it's name. :) But to look at it when the tide is in, you would never think of it being so shallow.
American camp is on the south end of our island. It is were the American Army Camp was during the Great American Pig War in the mid-1800s when Great Britain and the United States settled ownership of the islands through peaceful arbitration. The pig seems to have been the only casualty of war.
This Was the Laundry House for the camp.
