The Hoh Rainforest get 140 to 170 inches (or 12 to 14 feet!) of precipitation each year. Making it quite the mossy green jungle!
This was our second time to go see it and it is always great. so far we have hit it in the winter and now in the late spring. I am thinking fall would also be a nice time to see it when the maple leaves are turning.

You see this a lot, trees growing right over the tope of a fallen down log. They call it a nursery log, as it decays it provids nutrients for trees that grow up over it. This pictured shows a tree that at one time used a nursery log to grow over but not the fallen log has decayed away completely. leaving the new tree to look like it is standing on it's tiptoes :) |
I love how the ferns grow up and down the tree trunks
It is defiantly a fun place to go see if you are in the area.
