Wind is not a surprising thing on the islands, it comes and it goes. But at least one or more times a year we seem to get a really big wind storm that blows through, but you never really know when it will be.
We went to sleep to the lulling sound of the wind out the windows, but at some point in the night it must have gotten much stronger because this is what we woke to in the morning.
This mess of metal and plastic was our greenhouse that just happened to be on the back side of our garage but now is on the front side of the garage! it flew all the way over the top pulling the garden hose that was in it over the roof of the garage and pulling off the sprayer that was screwed on to it.
one of the posts broke all the way off.
Something, the flying greenhouse or the severed metal post or the garden hose sprayer that was riped off landed on the truck window and did what you might call a smashing job on it! :)
When I called the glass repair place they asked if you could cover the damage with a dollar bill? :) I assured them that no you could not. When she asked what had caused the damage and I told her that our greenhouse had landed on it. She was quite sure that that hat to be one of the best/unique reasons she had ever heard for why someone needed to have their windshield replaced.
And we now have a sky light in our back patio cover as well! I guess it is what you might call all in a night's wind!
